Starter shaft support bearing installed and additional thrust washers provided for belt and chain drive. Ready to mount on 8-hole primaries with flat boss for ninth hole if desired. FL cover has floorboard mount tab in front of inspection cover.Chrome hardware included.

*Note: Installation of 28-065 on some 1985 models requires removal of the factory alignment dowels or enlargement of primary cover dowel holes.

Cast Early-Style Chrome Inner Primary Housing
Features precision-machining, thick wall die-cast aluminum, and reinforced starter and mainshaft bearing support areas. Machined at front mounting blocks for exact adjustment on various engine/transmission combinations. Fly cut at starter mounting bosses for early or late style starter mounting systems. Installed oil line fittings and bushing for through-the-case shifter applications. Complete kit includes alternator O-ring gasket, genuine brass oil line fittings, chain adjuster retaining shoe with hardware, and chromed Bendix starter drive pivot bolt. Fits 4-speed Big Twins 1970-early 1979 and late 1979 thru 1982 models with Prestolite starter and chain final drive

Cast from 356-T6 aluminum, Delkron's primary housing is ready to use with the starter bushing, oil seal, transmission shaft bearing and tensioner anchor plate already installed. 

CAL-PRODUCTS ALUMINUM INNER PRIMARY COVERS
These replacement inner primary covers from Cal-Products are made of heat treated 356-T6 aluminum that is stress relieved to prevent cracking. Both castings have been reinforced making them "beefier" than original equipment. Note: Because of their thicker than stock construction, some aftermarket belt drives may require additional clearance.
