Crane Performance Solid Tappet Kits for Shovelheads
Replaces the stock hydraulic lifters on all Shovelhead motors with a performance kit consisting of solid lifters and adjustable pushrods. The tappet bodies feature relocated pushrod seat heights, resulting in improved valve train geometry, reduced tappet block wear and a weight savings (when combined with the pushrods of 33% over the stock components). Includes a set of 3/8" adjustable pushrods made from seamless 4130 chrome moly steel tubing,heat-treated to 128,000 psi tensile strength.

Sifton Custom Solid Tappet and Pushrod Set for Shovelheads
By shortening the tappet length and increasing the pushrod length, the contact point of the pushrod and tappet has been lowered. This reduces the normally severe angle on the front exhaust and along with the reduced diameter of the pushrods, eliminates pushrod 'rub'. Shortening the solid tappet also makes it lighter. The pushrods are made of   7/16" diameter 2024 aluminum tubing with a .095" wall thickness, making them stronger than 1/2" diameter standard wall pushrods. May require the removal of the cam for installation.

Hy-Rev Hydraulic lifters by V-Thunder Patented lifter design have a unique anti pump up race retainer that replaces the normal spring retaining clip to precisely limit travel of the hydraulic lifter plunger. During operation, the valve train performs more like a mechanical system, allowing high RPM operation with the quiet and precision of hydraulics. Roller and axle are made from high carbon/chromium bearing quality steel which is hardened for improved wear and load capacity and the pushrod seat is nitrided for severe service. Made in the USA. For Evolution® Big Twin models 1984 to present and Evolution Sportster® models 1986 thru 1990.

JIMS 'Big Axle' Powerglide Hydraulic Tappets for Evolution® Big Twin Models
All-new design improves tappet reliability by eliminating the inner bearing race. Simplifying the design of the tappet increases the wall thickness of the roller by 27%, and provides a 36% increase in the size of the tappet axle. The result is a tappet with twice the strength and stability of the stock design. For Evolution® Big Twin models 1984 to present, and 4-speed Evolution® Sportster® and Buell® models 1986 thru 1990.

Solid Tappets compatible with the Original Equipment tappet blocks on Sportster® models 1957 thru 1985

For Panheads and Shovelheads
Hydraulic tappets compatible with Original Equipment tappet blocks and cases with oil passages to tappet blocks on Panhead and Shovelhead motors 1953 thru 1984

Sifton Adjustable Tappets For Sportster® Models
Use only with the Sifton non-adjustable pushrods listed below. Tolerances are held very close and machining is precise from +.0000" to -.0002" on diameter, and .001" roller location from center for accurate cam timing. For all Sportster® models 1957 thru 1985 (except XR models)

For Panheads and Shovelheads
Use only with the Sifton non-adjustable pushrods listed below. Made of the same materials as the tappets for Sportster® models, and held to close tolerances. For Big Twins 1948 thru 1984.

Sifton 7/16" Non-Adjustable Pushrods
Smaller-diameter performance pushrods designed to be used in conjunction with Sifton adjustable tappets to eliminate the pushrod 'rub'. Formed from 7/16"-diameter, 2024 aluminum tubing with a .095" wall thickness, making them stronger than 1/2" standard-wall pushrods. Sets of four.

Crane Hydraulic Roller Tappets Increase performance of the valve train with this new tappet design. Made from high-strength steel alloy that is precision machined on CNC equipment and heat-treated for strength and wear-resistance.Components are computer-matched and measured to tolerances of microns for more precise oil metering and improved oil control, permitting the valve train to reliably perform up to 500 RPM higher than stock tappets. Sold each.

Designed for high-performance. Won't collapse at high RPM. The performance of a solid lifter combined with full compensation for heat expansion.These tappets are coated with a special dicronite DL-5 coating, and hand-fitted to achieve a running fit of .0002" to eliminate hydraulic tappet collapse.

For Late Evolution Sportster® Motors
Hydraulic tappets compatible with the Original Equipment tappet blocks on 5-speed Evolution Sportster® and Buell® models 1991 to present.

MOTOR FACTORY AMERICAN MADE TAPPET ASSEMBLY FOR EVOLUTION
Top quality performance hydraulic tappet assembly for Evolution Big Twin models 1984-up and Sportster 1986-1990. The zero back lash design eliminates collapsing of the hydraulic unit allowing the camshaft to open fully, resulting in more power. Each tappet is hand matched to a running fit of .0002" and treated with dicronite DL-5 coating for wear resistance. Available in Standard or +.005"oversize for worn tappet blocks. Replaces OEM 18523-86. Sold each.

HYDRAULIC LIFTER UNITS

This simple yet effective kit limits the travel of the hydraulic unit in high RPM situations, there by, eliminating potential engine damage due to high RPM valve float. Under normal conditions they allow the lifter to operate as designed, resulting in low valve train noise and nominal maintenance. In effect, this provides a solid lifter for racing and hydraulic lifter for cruising.
